Is your house haunted?
HAUNTED Is your home haunted? Here is what to look for, in no particular order: ODD PHYSICAL ACTIVITY Have you had glasses, dishes, toys, or other physical objects move on their own? Especially when no one else is home or accounted for. Do doors, cabinets, or drawers open and close on their own? If you have been living in your home for sometime, you get to know the creaks, and cracks, and the distinct noise that your doors make when opening. So, you know when the sounds are abnormal. Obviously when a dish gets thrown against a wall when no one else is home, and you are in your bed room. Something is wrong. ELECTRONICS TURNING ON AND OFF Is your TV turning on and off by itself? Do lights go on and off on their own? Do toys, or other electronic or battery operated objects turn off and on by their own? UNEXPLAINED PHYSICAL EVIDENCE Have you seen unexplained footprints, handprints, or writing on floors, walls, mirrors when alone, or everyone is accounted for? Things typed on your computer, or written in a notebook left open that you nor anyone else had written on? PHYCHOKINETIC ACTIVITY Hearing a door being slammed, or a glass being slid across a bar, or a radio or TV turn on can be one thing-but actually seeing this happen is a whole different experience. When witnessed by more than one person is even better. Another example of this is feeling someone sit on the couch next to you...but no one is there. Or sleeping in your bed and feeling someone lay down, but no one is there. Seeing an imprint on a chair or surface. APPARITIONS OR SHADOW PEOPLE An apparition is the physical manifestations of any shape of a ghost or entity. They can take many shapes, anywhere from a shape of a human, to a mist, or transparent human form. Have you seen anything like this in your home? Orbs are even a form of an apparition, and no-we are not talking about pictures of dust. A real orb has its own light source, and its own flight pattern, and can be seen with the naked eye-could be any size. Some have even been said to take a more solid form, almost as real as a human. Shadow people are just that. It can be anything to a solid black mass to a grey slightly transparent figure. Shadows forming from things that do not have a source? Do you see shadows in your home in a human or animal form that do not make since? Are you seeing shadows of other people when you are the only one in the house? UNEXPLAINED NOISES & PHANTOM SMELLS Do you hear voices, bangs, footsteps, cries, whispers? Sounds that are unexplained, and should not be happening when alone, or when everyone is accounted for. Do you smell weird things like a specific perfume, cologne, flowers, or food? Even bad smells, like rotting meat, death - among other foul smells. These would obviously not be coming from things that you have in the home. FEELINGS OF BEING WATCHED, OR THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE Do you feel that someone is always watching you, especially when you are alone? Do you sometimes feel that you are not the only one in a room, when you obviously are? Do any pets such as dogs, cats, or birds act odd-or out of their normal behavior and stare in a direction like they are looking at someone who is not there-or watching someone ascend the stairs? HOT & COLD SPOTS Cold spots are way more common than Hot spots. Are there certain spots, especially when other things listed above seem to be happening? Can you follow a cold spot around the home? PHYSICAL ATTACKS & TOUCHES Have you been scratched, pushed, slapped, tripped, punched, or kicked by an unseen force? Have you been touched or grabbed by an unseen force, have you felt a hand on your leg, or a breath on your neck when the air is still? WHAT TO DO NEXT: We know that some of the above may seem obvious to some of you, but not for everyone. We hope some people have learned something from this. Obviously you should try to rule out any rational or "real world" explanation for any of these happenings described above. There are ways to debunk a lot of the things that are listed above. They can range from faulty electrical wiring to buildings settling, or pipes banging due to air in them. If you know to the best of your knowledge that it is nothing rational that is causing these events, start keeping track of them, and recording them. You can keep a journal of events, take pictures, and recordings if you wish. If you truly feel that your property may be haunted, and you have ruled out any and all rational explanations for what you are experiencing, then you should contact experts. Make sure that you contact a reputable organization! Do not make a huge mistake by contacting just anyone. Also, most organizations do not charge, do not let anyone make you pay to investigate your property. We are not saying ALL of them are like this, but a lot of them that charge could be scamming you. There are plenty of reputable groups that do it for free. Also, keep in mind that every haunting is different, you may experience ALL of the above, or only a few. If you are experiencing them all, that is a rare haunting, and you should call some experts right away. Also, not all hauntings are bad, but if you feel threatened in anyway, you should also get experts in your home right away.
